Terrie Lynn Harwell
received her Athena
recognition in 2000. Her passion for serving continues to be
evident through her community involvement. She is currently the
Chairman of the Grant Committee for the Fort Worth Fossil Creek
Development Center, a member of the Huguley Home Health Civic
Advisory Board and the Community Advisory Council for the Burleson
Pregnancy Aid Center, as well as an officer for the Athena
Society. She and her family are members of Fossil Creek Community
Church in Fort Worth, where she is the Fine Arts Coordinator and
sings weekly with an eight member ensemble group. Terrie Lynn’s
past service in the community includes serving a three year term
as Board Member and officer for the Johnson County Children’s
Advocacy Center, two different terms as a Burleson Chamber
Ambassador, receiving the Chairman’s Award along with the
Ambassador Team of the Year Award in 1998, and singing and
performing for various chamber events.
Terrie Lynn’s attitude for service continues in her job. As a
Sales and Marketing Manager for Brookdale Senior Living, she
enjoys helping senior adults and their families as they make
transitional decisions for assisted living care.
Originally from Wichita Falls, Texas, Harwell and her husband Rex
moved to Burleson in 1992 with their three children, Ryan, Clinton
and Tara who each later graduated from Burleson High School. Both
boys went on to graduate from the University of Texas in Austin
and Tara is finishing her degree at Texas Wesleyan University. All
live in the Fort Worth area and Ryan and his wife Jamie recently
gave Rex and Terrie Lynn their first grandson, Cole. Terrie Lynn
feels that her greatest accomplishment in life is her three
children and the fact that they have each grown up to be wonderful
Christians and good citizens who also give back to their community
in various service organizations.
